Water comes from the map when that box is ticked. The slider is the backup, which finds lakes by their flatness in the elevation data — raise it if a flat plain turns blue, or drop it to zero to switch it off.

Water thickness (mm)

How deep the blue goes. Terrain fills the rest, so only the top few layers hold two colours and the printer changes tool on those alone — a lake that runs to the plate can double the print time. Four layers hides the green underneath; raise it if it shows. Zero prints the water solid.

How much track a wild fix has to stand out from, measured on the model rather than in samples, so a sparsely logged flight is not over-filtered. Raise it if a spike survives, lower it if a genuine sharp turn is being rounded off.

Airports

The sectional symbol, printed: a disc with the runways cut through it so the terrain shows where the chart shows paper. One lands on the first fix of the track and one on the last, so a flight between two fields can show both ends. Each is looked up from the track and can be corrected by hand. Their colour is set under Filament: left matching the flight path they cost no slot, however many are drawn — a chart draws an untowered field magenta and a towered one blue.

How far the symbol stands proud of the ground under it. It is a chart mark lying on the map, not something at the flight's altitude, so a couple of millimetres is enough to read and to catch the light.

How thick the panel behind the terrain is. It carries nothing on its own — the terrain tile drops in on top and stiffens it — so this is mostly print time. Thinning it also deepens the pocket, which leaves more room for relief.

Printer

The purge table the file carries is sized by the nozzle count. Wrong and Bambu refuses to slice with "Flush volumes matrix do not match to the correct size".

3MF keeps the parts positioned and coloured for the slicer. STL gives you the same two plates as plain meshes, already assembled, for any other printer.
